Volunteer

We are always looking for more guides to show visitors around Miegunyah.

Full training is provided. We are also often needing extra help on event days, assisting with exhibitions and conservation. Contact us if you’d like to get involved.

Donations

The QWHA is one of the only historical associations in Queensland that owns its own premises. Upkeep of a heritage house is expensive. We receive no regular government funding. Any financial assistance is welcome. We are currently fundraising for the conservation of a 215-year-old, historically significant quilt. You can make a donation securely below. Your donation is tax deductible. Alternatively, contact us.

We acknowledge the Jagera and Turrbal people as the Traditional Custodians of the Country we live and work on at Miegunyah. We recognise their continuing connection to the land, waterways and skies, and thank them for protecting this region and its ecosystems since time immemorial. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging and extend that respect to all First Nations people, acknowledging too that they never ceded sovereignty of the land, skies and waterways.
